Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union and Mongolian National Broadcasting have partnered to organize the national robot championship contest, which was successfully held on April 25th at the "Buyant-Ukhaa" sports complex for the 18th year in a row.

Total of 16 teams from 11 schools have competed for this contest with their own creation of remote controlled and with four-legged automatic robots. “Tsahim Alt” and “High Tech” teams from the Mechanical Engineering School of Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) were the two champions of this contest, and they have earned them rights to participate in the upcoming “ABU ROBOCON 2019 ULAANBAATAR” international contest. As a host country of the upcoming international contest, Mongolia is eligible to select two national teams to participate, thus two top teams were selected. The third prize winner was the “Basaltwool” from Mechanical Engineering School of Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST).

“The Best Idea” award was nominated to “Gan Robot” team from Koosen technology college of MUST.

“The Best Engineering” award was nominated to “Tsakhim Alt” team from the Information and Communication Technology School of MUST “The Best Design” award was nominated to “Railbot” team from the University of Railway “The Best Audience” award was nominated to “New Robo” team from Technical College of Shine Mongol.

All participated teams have received “Certificate of Participation”.

This year’s Robocon-2019 national contest was held with the significance of participation is more important rather than winning. Many great engineering schools and great teams have competed, exchanged knowledge, and showed their dedication in this contest.

Mongolian National Broadcasting channel will show each teamwork from the contest on every Thursdays and Saturdays as series.
